Virgil Kemplin, age 89, a resident of Glenridge Drive in Cincinnati, Ohio, formally of Salyersville, Kentucky; passed away Friday, August 30, 2019 at his home with family.
Mr. Kemplin was born February 11, 1930 in Salyersville, Kentucky the son of the late Nathaniel Whitt Kemplin and Tennessee Walter Kemplin. Son, Anthony "Tony" Kemplin, brothers, James Kemplin, Driefus Kemplin, and sister, Mary Craves, also preceded him in death.
Mr. Kemplin served his Country in the United States Army and is a Veteran of the Korean War. He was honorably discharged and returned stateside to work at Metro Box Company as an assistant pressman until his retirement.
Those left to mourn includes wife, Joyce Risner Kemplin, whom he married September 2, 1952, son, Alan Kemplin of Cincinnati, Ohio, four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild on the way he was so excited to meet, and a host of family and friends who love and miss him.
Funeral services for Virgil Kemplin were conducted Monday, September 2, 2019 at 1:00 PM from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Patrick and Lovely Cemetery on Johnson Fork in Salyersville, Kentucky. Military Rites were given by the Magoffin County Chapter DAV.
