Tommy Pennington age 79 of Salyersville Kentucky passed away Thursday, January 16, 2020 from the Landmark of Elkhorn City Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Elkhorn City, Kentucky. He was born on November 25, 1940 in Johnson County Kentucky to the late Arthur and Alice Long Pennington. survivors include his wife, Helen Pennington, two sons, Brian Keith Pennington of Salyersville, Kentucky, Steven Paul Pennington, two brothers, Keith Pennington, Jack Pennington, both of Oil Springs, Kentucky, three sisters, Mary Tackett of Xenia, Ohio, Bobbie Sue Conley of Springfield, Ohio, Betty Lemaster of Cambridge, Ohio, one stepsister, Fay Price of Dayton, Ohio, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Doug Pennington, Joe Darrell Pennington, Paul Bryant Pennington, one sister, Billie Irene Howard, two stepsisters, Kay Schultz and Janet Stapleton.
He was a Carpenter by trade, but he had a passion for Race Car Driving.
Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, January 19, 2020 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home with Jim Lemaster and Ray Pennington officiating. Burial followed in the Pennington Cemetery at Painters Lick, Kentucky. Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
