Poe selected for All-Pioneer Football League Team
Morehead State University redshirt junior offensive lineman Josh Poe (60) has been named to the All-Pioneer Football League Team. Poe is a Magoffin County High School graduate and hails from Salyersville.

MOREHEAD - Magoffin County High School graduate Josh Poe was among eight Morehead State University players selected to the All-Pioneer Football League Team.
Poe emerged as one of the Pioneer Football League's top offensive linemen during the 2018 season. A native of Salyersville, Poe helped to lead the best rushing attack in the Pioneer Football League. Poe, a redshirt junior offensive lineman, started all 11 of Morehead State's games in the 2018 season.
Morehead State senior wide receiver Jarin Higginbotham was named to the All-Pioneer Football League Second Team. Poe, senior defensive lineman Jamil Butler, freshman return specialist Ian Holder, sophomore punter Andrew Foster, senior offensive lineman Kris Jones, senior defensive back Sayyid Kanu and fellow redshirt junior offensive lineman Ben Price were on the All-Pioneer Football League Honorable Mention list.
Higginbotham, a Liberty Township, Ohio native, wrapped up his career by leading Morehead State with 39 catches for 667 yards and three touchdowns. He finished his career with 115 receptions for 2,107 yards to rank third in program history in yards. Higginbotham is just one of three Morehead State players to ever eclipse 2,000 career receiving yards. He also hauled in 15 career touchdowns.
Morehead State concluded the 2018 season 3-8 overall and 2-6 in the Pioneer Football League.
