Phyllis Louise Flynt
Phyllis Louise Flynt, age 72, of Salyersville, Kentucky went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at her home, following an extended illness. She was born on June 22, 1946 in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Miles Milton Flynt and Elsie Marie (Puckett) Flynt.
She is survived by one daughter, Rebecca Shawn Flynt and her husband Greg Cavender of Lexington, Kentucky, two granddaughters, Jennifer Brook (Howard) Cooper and her husband Roger of West Liberty, Kentucky, Jayra Beth Howard of Lexington, Kentucky, one brother, Teddy L. Flynt and his wife Linda of Salyersville, Kentucky, two nieces, Teddie Louise (Flynt) Bailey and her husband Adam of Corbin, Kentucky, Eustacia Marie (Flynt) Nair and her husband Rajiv of Louisville, Kentucky, one great-nephew, Elijah Colt Bailey, two great-nieces, Aria Nicole Nair and Everly Rose Bailey, and a host of family and friends.
Phyllis was a devout Christian woman who was a guiding light to everyone who knew her. Faith, patience, kindness, and wisdom were only a short list of her many attributes.
She never met a stranger and she welcomed any new friend with open arms. Phyllis was a rock and a safe harbor for both her family and friends. She was dearly loved and will be forever missed.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 pm Saturday, February 2, 2019 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Chris Howard, Ricky Howard and Greg Minix officiating. Burial followed in the Flynt Powers Cemetery at Salyersville, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
