SALYERSVILLE – Two fugitives from Michigan were found in Magoffin during a traffic stop and will be extradited back to their home state to face charges.

According to the arrest warrants, Magoffin County Sheriff Department Deputy Jonathan Holbrook was contacted by the Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Department in Michigan regarding active felony warrants on Amanda Nicole Robinette, 18, and Brandon A. Pope, 28, both of Osseo, MI.

On Thursday, November 29, Holbrook made a traffic stop of a vehicle matching the description of the one they were believed to be in and placed the two under arrest.

At press time Pope and Robinette are both being held at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center, though the Hillsdale Sheriff’s Department has agreed to extradite the two defendants.

Pope is wanted for the crime of larceny in a building and possession of financial transaction device, with both charges listed as felonies. Robinette is wanted on a warrant for larceny in a building.
