Major FEMA project completed
The above photo shows the new Lummie Lemaster Bridge, which was replaced after the original bridge was heavily damaged in the February flooding. The new bridge is now open for business and better than ever!! It’s the first of several bridges the county hopes to get completed over the upcoming weeks and months. Judge Wireman said he wished things moved faster, but it’s better to do it right the first time rather than rushing and getting subpar results. Magoffin has well over 200 FEMA sites, along with an enormous number of roads in bad shape that they are trying to get to and Wireman said he sincerely appreciates everyone continuing to be patient. "If we haven’t been on your road yet, we will be soon, so please don’t worry, we are coming."
