Johnson Fork closed indefinitely
From HB ELKINS
KYTC, Dist. 10
JACKSON, Ky. – KY 134 in Magoffin County is closed indefinitely at milepoint 5.166 due to a break in pavement that has worsened significantly over the past several days. This location is approximately 0.1 miles northeast of Cow Creek Road and less than half a mile from the Mountain Parkway connector.
Deteriorating road conditions caused Kentucky Transportation Cabinet officials to close the road for the safety of the traveling public on Monday morning. The break extends into both lanes of traffic.
Drilling contractors will start work as soon as possible. It is not known at this time how long the repairs will take, or when the road can be reopened.
Drivers can use the Mountain Parkway, KY 30, and US 460/KY 7 as a detour route. “Road Closed” signs and barricades will be posted, but there will not be a signed detour.
