Mickey, Marjorie B. Culbertson our precious mother, 84 years of age died at her home on Mash Fork Road, Salyersville, KY Monday July 16, 2018 of natural causes.
Children: James W. Culbertson II (deceased), (Barbie), Portsmouth,OH, Donald M. Culbertson, Tuscan, AZ, Susie (Jesse) Morrow, Tenmile, OR, David Paul Culbertson, Robin Lemaster, Salyersville, KY, John (Jennifer) Culbertson, Fredricktown, MO, Howard (Stacy) Culbertson, Salyersville, KY.
Preceded in death by: husband, James W. Culbertson, son, James W. Culbertson II, and son David Paul Culbertson, parents John and Marjorie Bray, sister, Donna Pepin, and her brother, John Bray.
Mickey was born in Indiana on April 19, 1934 to John and Marjorie Bray. Mickey married James Culbertson of Salyersville, KY on October 3, 1953. Together they raised 6 children. She is known to have had a significant role in the lives of her grandchildren, especially granddaughters Miranda and Leanne also from Salyersville, KY.
Mickey graduated from high school and attended college in Chicago. She worked as a life guard for the Red Cross then as secretary at the phone company prior to raising her children, when children were older she was the bookkeeper for the family businesses Blackie’s Welding I Lakeside, CA and Jim’s Welding here in Salyersville.
Mickey loved to read and sing. She is known for her walk with Jesus and sharing his love with everyone she met. She was a softball coach and loved to swim. Mickey traveled with her husband sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ from coast to coast, attending camp meetings and fellowship services.
Fellowship Remembering and honoring Mickey and her life accomplishments will be upheld at her home at 1265 Mash Fork Road, Salyersville, KY from 12 noon to 4 pm Saturday July, 21,2018.
