Bailey ranked among Top 10 players in 15th Region

SALYERSVILLE - Magoffin County junior infielder Emilee Bailey is ranked among the Top 10 softball players in the 15th Region.

The 15th Region Softball Coaches Association Association released the players list. 

Bailey helped to lead former 15th Region champion Magoffin County throughout the 2019 high school softball season, batting .356 with 26 hits, 12 RBIs and 12 stolen bases. 

The Magoffin County junior infielder is ranked behind Clara Blair (Johnson Central), Lily Napier (Shelby Valley), Makenzie Methax (Lawrence County), Kayleigh Thomas (Pike County Central), Randi DeLong (Johnson Central), Kendall Hall (Pikeville), Emily Ford (Pikeville), Chloe VanHoose (Johnson Central) and Halli Caudill (Lawrence County). 

Magoffin County freshman shortstop Presley Smith, who batted .414 with one home run, 16 RBIs, 24 hits and 15 stolen bases as an eighth grader in 2019, received votes for the 15th Region Top 10.  

Softball teams from throughout the 15th Region will take the field for season openers later in the month.
