Back-to-back wins for Lemaster
Local dirt track driver, PJ Lemaster, age 24, brought home back-to-back feature wins.
Both wins occurred at the M&K Motorsports Complex – Mountain Motor Speedway in Whitesburg, KY. PJ’s first-ever feature win was on Saturday, June 27.
PJ held off the competition in the #17 machine sports modified, ending the night with the checkered flag. He had proved to be fast, setting second fastest qualifying time at 18.60 and bringing a second-place finish in the heat race. It was a battle for first during the entire feature race. PJ lead 10 of the 20 laps to take the win, leaving the fans and his family screaming and on their feet!
“The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree,” PJ said after his win. He is proud to carry on the family racing tradition that his dad, Buck Lemaster, began years ago. PJ says he is carrying on the Lemaster racing legacy.
While still celebrating the first win, PJ came back the next week, snagging first, yet again, on August 3.
This is the second season PJ has been behind the wheel of this car. The first win, especially, was an exciting win for the whole family! PJ, along with his wife, Brooke, Mom, Dad, Uncle Doodie, cousins Daniel, Tyler, Terrance and his wife, Chelsey, were all there to celebrate!
PJ is grateful to his family and his sponsors for their continued support: Lemaster Towing & Garage (Buck & Gwen Lemaster), Lemaster Lawn Care (Doodie Lemaster),
Added Touch Beauty Salon (Phyllis Howard), Reflection Tanning and Cox Auto Parts, as well as to the two newest sponsors, Eagle Well Service, Me Time Salon and Spa.
This is just the beginning for PJ as I am sure he will be leaving the competition in the dust for races to come!
The #17 machine sports modified car is owned by Ronald Cantrell and the crew chief is Daniel Davis.
