Changes made to school calendar

SALYERSVILLE – In a meeting held Tuesday evening, the Magoffin County School Board decided to take two days from spring break for snow make-up days.

While spring break was scheduled for the week of April 2 through 6, the board agreed to use April 2 and 3 as calendar make-up days, leaving April 4, 5 and 6 as spring break.

By using the two days to recoup some of the days missed for weather, and factoring in yesterday’s snow day, if Wednesday, March 21 is the last unplanned no-school day this year, the last day for students will be May 30.
