Broken brake line results in Jeep flip

SALYERSVILLE – A broken brake line resulted in a wreck on Sunday, with the vehicle flipping at the Catholic church traffic light.

On July 22, three people were traveling from Lexington to Pikeville on the Mountain Parkway, when someone reportedly pulled out in front of them. The driver was able to abruptly stop, avoiding a collision, however, when she got to the traffic light at the intersection of the Parkway and Parkway Drive, her vehicle would not stop, resulting in the Jeep flipping onto it’s top.

During the investigation, Magoffin County Sheriff Department Deputy Reggie Gosser found that the brake line was completely broke in two.

All passengers were wearing their seatbelts and refused treatment at the scene.
