57th District Softball Tournament set

INEZ - Magoffin County will face Johnson Central in the semifinals of the 57th District Softball Tournament at Sheldon Clark High School on Monday, May 20.

Longtime rivals, Magoffin County and Johnson Central will face off in a battle of former 15th Region champions. 

Johnson Central managed to edge Magoffin County 5-4 in a 57th District softball game in Paintsville on Tuesday, April 30.

First pitch for the Magoffin County-Johnson Central postseason matchup is set for 6 p.m. on Monday, May 20. 

In the other game to be played as part of the 57th District Softball Semifinals, Paintsville will face tournament host Sheldon Clark. First pitch for the Paintsville-Sheldon Clark postseason matchup is set for 8:15 p.m.

The winners from the semifinals will advance to the district title game. The 57th District Softball Tournament Championship Game is slated for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21.

Johnson Central is the reigning 57th District softball champion.
