The Doctor Will See You Now

I’d like to send a big shout-out to the Lady Hornets for their rather impressive victory in the opening round of the 57th district tournament. Although I’m no longer a member of the team, you young ladies will always be special to me. I love you all and want you to know that I’m still your number one fan! ( That’s right! I’m a bigger fan than Gumby! Well actually Gumby is bigger around but I’m speaking metaphorically ).

No. 5-seed Johnson Central gave Magoffin County its best shot, and the top-seed Lady Hornets withstood the surge to win 57-43 Tuesday night in the opening round of the 57th District Tournament in front of a packed house at Paintsville High School.

“I’d rather win ugly than lose pretty,” said Magoffin County coach Steve Miller.

And that’s what his team did.
