Fannie was born December 12, 1923 in Magoffin County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Abe and Dona Bailey Prater. She was a member of the Cow Creek Church of God.
Fannie was united in marriage to Johnny Shepherd whom precedes her in death.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Survivors include his parents; one brother, Jimmy Randall Salyer of Salyersville, Kentucky and one sister, Misty Francis of Salyersville, Kentucky.

(Sue) Salyer and Eugene Salyer all of Indiana and six grandchildren Kayla, Shawn, Christina, Aubrie, Chloe and Kyleigh.
