Brandon Adams, a second grade student in Mrs. Theresa Miller's classroom at Salyersville Grade School, constructed his own solar system. His class has been studying earth sun and stars. Brandon is the son of Dwayne and Steffanie Adams.

Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) recently hosed two area high school tours of the various technical programs offered on the BSCTC Mayo and Hager Hill Campuses. Participating schools included Magoffin County High School.
