Comer aids farmer denied payment for his grain

FRANKFORT, Ky. —Agriculture Commissioner James Comer today issued a relief payment to a Waynesburg grain farmer who failed to get paid when he sold his grain to a company that filed bankruptcy.

The Freshman Academy at Magoffin County High School has just wrapped their first production of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.   

Class Studies Solar System

The third and fourth grade students in Mrs. Beth Miller’s Science classes at North Magoffin Elementary School have been very busy creating a group presentation on the Solar System.  Each group was responsible for creating a 3-D model of an assigned planet, written research, and a power point presentation.

Students in the Fifth and Sixth grade classes at South Magoffin Elementary are learning about Marketing a Business in their Social Studies class. Students had to create a new product and then did online research on how they could market it while in the computer lab.
