Edmond Neil "Buddy" Howard age 78 of Lexington, Ky., formerly of Salyersville passed away on Friday evening June 1, 2012 at his home following an extended illness surrounded by his family. He is the husband of the former Barbara Jean "Bobbi" Morris who survives. Born November 17, 1933 in Wise County, Virginia he was a son of the late Luther and Rossie Alice Wheatley Howard. Buddy was a retired Union Carpenter and a member of the Salyersville First Baptist Church.
Myrna Arlene Kiger Walters, age 76, a resident of Lexington, Kentucky passed away Monday, May 28, 2012 at her home on Donewal Drive. Mrs. Walters was born October 22, 1935 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of the late Claude Milton and Ethel McNinich Kiger. Also preceding her in death are three sets of brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Roy and Jewel Dyer, Henry and Joy W. Cobb and Robert and Delma Powers. Mrs.
Freddie Mullins age 64 of Springboro, Ohio passed away with his family at his side, Friday, May 25, 2012. He was born January 26, 1948 in Salyersville, KY the son of Fred and Theda Mullins. He retired from General Motors (Delphi) after many years of service and a member of the Masonic Temple.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Danny Shephard; and two sisters, Teresa Borders and Linda Shephard.
Calvin Coolidge Roark age 69 of Cow Creek, Kentucky passed away Friday, May 25, 2012 in Wolfe County, Kentucky. He was born February 24, 1943 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Haden and Delphia Stephens Roark.
He is survived by one brother, Kernie Roark of Salyersville, Kentucky; four sisters: Helen Conley of Paintsville, Kentucky, Nevada Frasure of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, Nebraska Howard of Salyersville, Kentucky and Darlene Purvis of Flemingsburg, Kentucky; also surviving is his life-long companion Vonetta Bailey of Campton, Kentucky.
Mr. John B. Glovak III, age 46, of Brodhead, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at the Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville.
Elmer Eugene Hackworth went to be with the Lord Jesus on Tuesday, May 15, 2012. He is survived by seven children: Paul (Irene) of Leslie, Michigan, Ralph of Dansville, Michigan, Gordon (Tina) of Leslie, Michigan, Brenda (Mort) of Leslie, Michigan, Jeanie (Jack) of Leslie, Michigan, Michael (Cherrie) of Holt, Michigan, and Mary (Steve) of Leslie, Michigan; 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister, Omie of Indiana, and one brother, Vernal of Indiana.

Mr. Robinson was born November 15, 1934 in Chester West Virginia the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jefferson Robinson. Aaron D. Meadows age 61 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at his home. He was born March 20, 1951 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late James Boyd and Opal Lykins Meadows.
He is survived by three brothers: James R. Meadows of West Chester, Ohio, Burford Meadows of Hamilton, Ohio and Ronnie Meadows of Fredville, Kentucky.
Aaron was a retired school teacher from the Magoffin County school system.
In addition to his parents Aaron is preceded in death by two sisters Maude and Carol Jean Meadows.
