Raymond “Crow” Ward age 85 of Brushy Fork Road, Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at the Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. He was born February 2, 1930 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Lester and Mayzina Howard Ward.

Richard Dow 
Williams, age 72, a resident of Carver Road in Salyersville, Kentucky; passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at his home.
Mr. Williams was born June 12, 1943 in Allgood, Tennessee the son of the late Dow and Peal Willbanks Williams. Also, preceding him in death is one son, Daniel Brent Williams.
Mr. Williams served his country in the United States Army until he was honorably discharged. He was the owner of BTU Gas of Salyersville, Kentucky until his retirement and was a beef and dairy farmer.

Darrell Crace age 69 of Falcon Road, Falcon, Kentucky passed away Friday, November 6, 2015 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky. He was born November 29, 1945 in Johnson County, Kentucky to the late Herman and Ruie Borders Crace.
Darrell served his country in the Air Force and was a retired welder. He was a member of the State Road Fork United Baptist Church.

Gladys Marie Perkins Watson age 47 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at her home. She was born September 16, 1968 in Lima, Ohio to the late George Junior and Cheryl Lynn Dye Perkins. Survivors include her life partner Daniel McKinna, four daughters Danielle Morales, Christy Desote and Cheryl Sims all of Lima, Ohio and Nikita (Mateo) DeLaCruz of Phoenix, Arizona, six brothers Ronnie D. (Jill) Thompson of McGuffey, Ohio, Willie J.A. Perkins, Jr.

Harold Ray Poe, age 73, a resident of Salyersville, Kentucky; passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, Kentucky.
Mr. Poe was born March 19,1942 in Ivyton, Kentucky the son of the late Clarence and Ethel Smith Poe.
Mr. Poe was employed as a blaster foreman for Martin County Coal Company until his retirement. He served his country in the United States Navy until he was honorably discharged.

Billie Jenkins, age 77, a resident of Rockhouse Creek Road in Salyersville, Kentucky; passed away Friday, October 30, 2015 at St. Claire Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Jenkins was born June 5, 1938 in Salyersville, Kentucky the son of the late Woodrow and Polly Daniels Jenkins. Also, preceding him in death is one son, Matthew Jenkins, and brother, Woodrow Jenkins Jr.

Imogene Salyers Connelley age 93 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. She was born August 19, 1922 in Van Lear, Kentucky to the late Wilson and Lenore Watkins Salyers. She was the wife of Marcus Connelley, who preceded her in death. Survivors include three sons Michael Connelley, James W. “Shade Tree” Connelley and Richard Lowell Connelley all of Salyersville, Kentucky. Also several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

MAGGARD, Sarah Lou, 75, formerly of Lexington, KY, wife of Robert M. Maggard died Tuesday, October 27, 2015 in Southlake, TX. She was born July 16, 1940 in Salyersville, KY to the late Lawrence Gray and Norsie Howard. Mrs. Maggard was a graduate of Morehead State University and obtained her master’s degree from the University of Kentucky. She taught at Lafayette High School and was Professor and Chair of the Business Department at Lexington Community College.

Loraine Wireman, 71, of Jonesville, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.  Born October 11, 1944, in Ruff N Tuff, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Arthur and Biddie (Kilgore) Holbrook and retired from Jonesville Products after 51 years.

Paul Edward Gasparac age 66 of Big Lick Road, Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Monday, October 26, 2015 at his home. He was born November 27, 1948 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late James and Cassie Arnett Gasparac. He was the husband of Theda Watkins Gasparac, who survives. Survivors also include two sons Nathan Paul Gasparac of Dandridge, Tennessee and Nevin Thomas Gasparac of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, five brothers James Gasparac, Parker Gasparac, Elwood Gasparac and C.B.
