Loraine Ratliff Risner age 68 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Friday, May 8, 2015 at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky. She was born September 20, 1946 in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late Edgar and Josie Dixon Bowling. She was the wife of Ernest Risner, Sr., who survives. Survivors also include three sons; Harold Ratliff of Boonescamp, Kentucky, Rodney Ratliff of Staffordsville, Kentucky and Timmy Ratliff of Paintsville, Kentucky, one daughter, Vicky Dawson of Paintsville, Kentucky, two step-sons, Kash Gipson of Salyersville, Kentucky, and Ernest Risner, Jr.
J.C. Bolen age 81 of Buffalo Fork Road, Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the St. Claire Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky. He was born December 16, 1933 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Lud and Edith Stanley Bolen. He was the husband of Phyllis “Mag” Howard Bolen, who survives. Survivors also include two sons, Michael Bolen and Gary Bolen both of Salyersville, Kentucky, two daughters, Janet Simpkins and Bernice Porter both of Salyersville, Kentucky, and one sister, Kathleen Howard of Salyersville, Kentucky.
Willie Bartram age 90 of Lovely, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at the Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. He was born August 7, 1924 in Pilgrim, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Risner Bartram. He was the son of the late Clarence and Nalya Bartram. In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters. He is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Age 59 of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, formerly of Magoffin County, passed away May 2, 2015 in Prestonsburg. He was born November 20, 1955, the son of the late Greeley Reed and Eulah Patton Reed. Randy was married to Sherry Patrick Reed who preceded him in death.
Randy was a Surveyor for Boclok and a United States Air Force Veteran.
Anita Back Arnett age 76 of Watertown, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at the Residence Hospice Facility in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born January 30, 1939 in Breathitt County, Kentucky to the late Galen and Hazel Howard Back. She was the wife of Walter “Marcus” Arnett, who preceded her in death.
Penelope Kay Blanton Jackson age 62 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at the Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. She was born September 11, 1952 in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late Melvin Blanton and Jewell Jackson Blanton who survives. She is also survived by her husband, Darvin Jackson.
Sean Robert Hensley age 45, a resident of Momence, Illinois, formerly of Sandusky, Ohio passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015 in Momence, Illinois. He was born December 28, 1969 in Sandusky, Ohio to John E. Hensley of Sandusky, Ohio and Jane Hensley of Milan, Ohio. He was the husband of Angellia Rowe Hensley, who survives. Survivors also include one brother, Drew (Tanvier) Hensley of Cleveland, Ohio, and a very special four-legged son, Trevor (Birdie the dog). Sean was also the son-in-law of Hanson and Michel Rowe and Ruby and Jim Best.
Jonah Preston McCarty, infant son of Brett and Aleisha Williams McCarty, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at the Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, Kentucky.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Kendrick McCarty and Spencer McCarty both of Salyersville, Kentucky, paternal grandparents, Allen Dale McCarty and Pearl Lynn McCarty of Salyersville, Kentucky, maternal grandparents, Larry and Teresa Williams of Salyersville, Kentucky and a host of family and friends.
