Mulberry- Morris Lynn Daugherty, age 71, passed away March 10, 2013 at his son's home of heart failure. Morris was born in Briceville, Tn. on September 22, 1941 to Robert Lee & Bertha Mae (Rutherford) Daugherty. Morris moved to Mulberry six years ago from Kentucky. Morris was a veteran of the U.S. Army (Vietnam), a coal miner and of the Church of Christ faith.
Hiram Ely, 91, Louisville, passed away on March 9, 2013. Born March 6, 1922 in Soldier, Kentucky, he was a U.S. Navy veteran who served in WWII and a graduate of Morehead State University. He married the former Buena E. Wright in 1947 and together they owned and ran several businesses, including a Western Auto Store, in Salyersville, Kentucky for 36 years.
James Oscar Crace, age 62, a resident of Flat Fork Road in Salyersville, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the Salyersville Health Care in Salyersville, Kentucky.
Mr. Crace was born June 12, 1950 at the Paintsville Hospital in Paintsville, Kentucky the son of the late Burt and Callie Florence Wheeler Crace. Also, preceding him in death is a sister, Fannie Leigh Blair.
Mr. Crace was a member of the Church of God Faith and devoted member of his family.
Patricia Finnell Fultz, 64, died Saturday, March 9, 2013.
She was a native of Owensboro and retired from the old Bell South.
She is survived by her husband, Lee Fultz; sons, Rob and John (Lisa) Mischel; stepson, Chris Fultz; grandchildren; sisters, Pam Smith, Jackie Taylor and Cindy Griffin; and brother, Chris Finnell.
A memorial service was held at 7pm Tuesday at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville.
Allen Dalton, age 91 of Fairborn, Ohio, left this life on Saturday March 9, 2013. He was born June 7, 1921 in Morgan Co., Kentucky, the son of the late Newt and Dora (Lawson) Dalton. He is survived by ten children, Bendalé (George) Wolf, Mary Mowery, Barry (Clarice) Dalton, Allie Young, Bob (Catherine) Dalton, George (Carolyn) Dalton, David (Sandy) Dalton, Philip (Sheila) Dalton, Marti (Larry) Knapp, Kendra (Ron) Eifert; 27 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ruby Marshall, age 77, a resident of Burning Fork Road in Salyersville, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2013 at her residence.
Mrs. Marshall was born February 15, 1936 in Fredville, Kentucky the daughter of the late Warnie and Susie Stephens Allen. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Marshall, sisters, Lois Whitaker, Barbara Green; brother, Hayden Allen, and grandchildren, Chad Marshall and Dustin Marshall.
Mrs. Marshall was employed at Frazier-Prater Drug where she was often found with conversation and smiles.
Lawrence Edward Stephens age 82 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at the Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. He was born August 21, 1930 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Fred and Gladys Joseph Stephens.
Christine Salyer, age 84, a resident of Green Springs, Ohio, formally of Salyersville, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at the Elmwood Nursing Home in Green Springs, Ohio after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Salyer was born March 12, 1927 in Salyersville, Kentucky the daughter of the late Adam and Lona Caldwell Smith. Also, preceding her in death are husbands, Richmond Gullett and South Salyer, sons, Gregory Gullett, Roger Gullett, Ricky Salyer, sister, Pearlie Minix, and brothers, Freddie and Jackie Lee Smith.
Dollie Marie Shepherd Ratliff, age 78 of Hueysville, KY, widow of Joseph David Ratliff, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY. She was born June 23, 1934 in Handshoe, KY, a daughter of the late Russell and Mollie Shepherd. She was a member of the United Baptist Faith and attended the Salt Lick Community Church.
