Vennie Howard Caudill Salyers Adams, age 81, a resident of Salyersville, KY passed away February 13, 2010 at the Paul B. Hall Medical Center.
Vennie was born March 10, 1928 in Magoffin County, the daughter of the late Ashland Howard and Lula Jenkins Howard.
Survivors include three sons, Larry (Linda) Caudill of Salyersville, KY; Cline (Marilyn Jo) Salyers of Salyersville, KY; Gary (Bobbi Jo) Salyers of Oil Springs, KY; five daughters, Judy (Stanley) Holbrook of Salyersville, KY, Janie (Robert) Howard of West Liberty, KY, Peggy (Jerry) Combs of Salyersville, KY, Shena (Barry) Patrick, also of Salyersville, KY and Freda (Larry) Hammonds of Ashland, KY; two brothers, Dola Howard and Solen Howard, both of Salyersville, KY; two sisters, Evie Tackett of Salyersville, KY and Lola Gamble of Marion, OH; seventeen grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, her first husband, Melvin Caudill; second husband, Hammie Salyers and third husband, Duell Adams; two sons, Hammie Salyers Jr and James Ernest Salyers; one daughter, Brenda Kay Salyers; five brothers, Toy Howard, Golden Howard, Groon Howard, Dennie Howard and Ennie Howard; five sisters, Flora Howard, Liz Gamble, Wonnie Tackett, Ivory Gamble and Estie Gamble preceded Vennie in death.
Funeral Services were conducted February 15, 2010 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in the Salyers Cemetery at Flat Fork, KY.
