Amos Auxier, age 92, of Royalton, Ky., passed away Friday August 27, 2010 at his residence. Amos was born August 29, 1917 to the late James Franklin and Eliza Howard Auxier in Carter County, Ky. Amos worked in the oil fields and was a logger. He was united in marriage to the late Francis Bailey Auxier and was a member of the Rock Fork Baptist Church. Amos is survived by two Sons: Kenneth Auxier and Arthur Auxier both of Royalton, Ky; Two Daughters: Cloteen Aldrich of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Estelene Kennedy of Albion, Michigan; Five Brothers: Hubert Auxier of Ann Arbor, Michigan, James Auxier, Scudder Edward Auxier, Clifford Auxier and George Auxier; One Sister: Marion Kennard of Venice, Florida; 15 Grandchildren, 22 Great-grandchildren, 4 Step-Great Grandchildren, 23 Great-great-grandchildren and 21 Step-Great-great- grandchildren. Along with his Wife and Parents, Amos is preceded in death by One Son: Walter Auxier; One Daughter: Reva Ellen Bailey; Three Sisters: Renie Bradley, Bertha Tragis, Kathleen Auxier; Four Grandchildren: Betty Jo Risner, Anthony Auxier, April Auxier and Tonitte Collins. Funeral Services for Amos Auxier were held Monday, August 30, 2010 at the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Kenny Bailey officiating. Burial followed at the Jackson Wireman Cemetery in Salt Lick, Ky. Magoffin County Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
