Police called for burglary

Local law enforcement received a 911 call on Thursday, August 19 around 11 p.m., reporting a possible burglar at Mountain Liquor on US 460.

According to the citation, upon arrival, Sheriff Bob Jordan and Deputy Matt Bailey located the suspect, Micheal Lee Oney, 27, at the business. One window had been broken.
Oney fled on foot, but they were able to take him into custody. He had several lacerations on his hands and arms from allegedly breaking the glass window and crawling through the window into the store. Police found blood on the window and in the floor of Mountain Liquor, as well.
Oney is being charged with second degree burglary, second degree criminal mischief, second degree disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, first degree fleeing or evading police, menacing, third degree terroristic threatening and alcohol intoxication in public place.
