Congratulations to the Magoffin County 4-Her’s participating in the 2010 State Fair!  Students competed in both the cooking competitions and in the horticulture and poultry contests. 
The following is a listing of individuals entered in the cooking competition along with their individual entry and place holdings:  David Fitch-Blue, chocolate chip muffins; Daniel Fitch-White, cornmeal muffins; Nathan Perkins-Blue, biscuits; Carrie McCarty-Blue & Class Champion, granola bars.
Below is a listing of individual and team winners that competed in the horticulture and poultry contests in the fair along with their respective standings:
Poultry Judging:  Junior Division- Whitney Jenkins- Red, Nicholas (Quest) Adkins- Blue, Mark Campbell- Blue
 Senior Division Tanner Bowling- Red
Avian Bowl: Junior Division- Mark Campbell- Blue, Whitney Jenkins- Red
Senior Division- Austin Howard-Blue, Seth Sparks-Blue, Tanner Bowling-Blue
*The Magoffin County Senior Team won first place in the state. Seth Sparks finished fourth individually and will represent Kentucky at the nationals.
Horticulture: Junior Division- Rylea Salyer-Red, Mark Campbell- Blue, Whitney Jenkins-Red                         
Senior Division- Seth Sparks- 1st, Austin Howard- 5th, Haley Campbell-6th and Tanner Bowling 8th
*The Magoffin County Senior Team finished first and will represent Kentucky at The national contest next year in California.
