The welding class at the Magoffin County Vocational School has worked hard and completed bike racks for the Trail Heads on the Dawkins Line Rail Trail. An awesome project coordinated by  Victoria Doucette President of Royalton Trail Town Committee  working with Department of Parks, Stephanie Healey Paintsville Tourism,Principal Vince Minix and Rodney Whitaker teacher at  Magoffin County Vocational School.

Wonderful to have Vince Minix Principal  as school liaison on the Royalton Trail Town Committee to involve the students in a community projects.  The welding class and electrical class  had worked on a previous project with Royalton Trail Town Committee.  Prior to Royalton becoming a Trail Town Mr. Minix got the electrical and welding classes at the Magoffin County Vocational School involved in projects with the R.T.T.C.  and brought the classes to the Royalton Trail Town Certification Celebrating. Vince Minix and Royalton Trail Town Committee thinks  that it is imperative to involve  the youth of Magoffin County and instilling in them the importance of volunteering for their community.

The Royalton Trail Town Committee would like to thank Mr.Rodney Whitaker Welding teacher, Mr. Vince Minix Principal of Magoffin County Vocational School, Stephanie Healey Paintsville Tourism, Steve Allison Department of Parks and David Lykins for working together for the Dawkins Line Rail Trail.
More projects to come with plans next year for the welding class to work with the Royalton Trail Town Committee to make critter control garbage cans for the Dawkins Line Rail Trail.
