PRESTONSBURG – The first-ever Star City Day took place on April 29th of this year and was an overwhelming success. Sundy Best hosted a day dedicated to local art and music that was meant to “keep our creative spirits alive in times of destruction, and to pull communities together to create with pure intention from the heart” with live performances by Sundy Best themselves and many other local talents, flow dancing, and live paintings by regional greats.
The city of Prestonsburg and Sundy Best’s Nicholas Jamerson are proud to announce a second Star City Day will take place July 4th in the Downtown Prestonsburg stage area from 4:00 to 9:30 p.m. The space will be filled with creative people in a festival-like atmosphere. There will be a live community mural, sidewalk chalk mandala, face painting, and other fun activities for visitors to participate in.
A special thank you to Jennifer Gardner, Les Stapleton, and Miranda Lafferty along with Prestonsburg Tourism for all their support in making another Star City Day a reality.
