SALYERSVILLE - A Magoffin man was arrested on Monday for allegedly making methamphetamine.
Kentucky State Police received information of a possible meth lab on River Road in Magoffin County. Upon receiving consent from John D. May, 47, of Salyersville, officers searched the premises and found precursors inside the residence. According to the arrest citation, drain cleaner, camping fuel, batteries and cold compress packs were found.
May was arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine (first offense), unlawful possession of meth precursor (first offense) and drug paraphernalia buy/possess. He is currently housed at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center pending future court dates.
