Sandra Carol Dingus age 51 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Friday October 6, 2017 at the Paul B. Hall Medical Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. She was born February 27, 1966 in Morgan County, Kentucky to the late James Calvin Dingus and Earie Benton Dingus, who survives. 
Survivors also include three brothers, Edison Dingus, Herbert Dingus, and Nelson Dingus, all of Salyersville, Kentucky, and four sisters, Audrey Hamilton, Charlotte Howard, and Marida Bolen all of Salyersville, Kentucky, and Debra May of Mount Sterling, Kentucky.

Catherine Howes Eastep age 87 of Burning Fork Road, Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the Salyersville Health Care Center in Salyersville, Kentucky. She was born February 3, 1930 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Charlie and Elizabeth Caudill Howes. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Eastep.

John Minix age 84 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at the Paul B. Hall Medical Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. He was born February 19, 1933 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Sam and Lillie Howard Minix. He was the husband of Phyllis Jo Arnett Minix, who preceded him in death.

Hattie Mae Thompson, age 73, a resident of Rensselaer, Indiana; formally of Salyersville; passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Indiana University Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana after a lengthy illness.
Hattie was born January 3, 1944, in Tip Top, Kentucky, the daughter of Kelly and Florence McIntosh Thompson. Also preceding her in death is sister, Violet Thompson, and brother, Delord Thompson.
Hattie served her country in the United States Air Force and is a veteran of the Vietnam War until she was honorably discharged.

Tommy Gerald "Tom" Frazier age 74 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Friday, September 29, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born January 9, 1943 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Forrest "Cricket" and Alma Arnett Frazier. He was the husband of Patricia Arnett Frazier, who survives.

Patricia Ann “Trish” Lyon Lewis, age 50, of Bluestone Road, Morehead, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017, at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer. 
Born December 2, 1966, in Washington Court House, Ohio, Trish is the daughter of Jimmy and Janet Dingus Lyon of Salyersville.

Andrew Rowe age 81 of South East Licking River Road, Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017 at his home.  He was born August 27, 1936 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Will and Marie Howard Rowe.  Also preceding him in death is his wife Edna Rowe.

Oma Shepherd Risner age 89 of Lexington, Kentucky wife of Paul Risner passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017 at the Saint Joseph Hospice Care Center in Lexington, Kentucky. Born August 1, 1928 in Magoffin County KY she was a daughter of the late Willie and Sallie Wallen Shepherd. Survivors include her daughters: Carolyn Legg of Sidney, Ohio, Sheliah R. McClanahan of Charolette, North Carolina, and Lisa Risner of Lexington, Ky. Two sisters: Alma Holliday of Lexington, Ky and Alene Allen of Salyersville, Ky., along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Marlene Back Arms, age 67, a resident of Georges Branch in East Point, Kentucky, formally of Salyersville; passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Highland Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, Kentucky.
Marlene was born February 20, 1950, in Salyersville, Kentucky, she is the daughter of Dillard Back and the late Ruby Darnell Back. Also preceding her in death are sisters, Linda Bailey, Judy Lykins, Susie Shepherd.
Marlene was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
